Jorge Murillo and Jerry Arispe, two entrepreneurs from the Silicon Valley, had the opportunity to present their latest venture, Mile One, at a conference in the Bay Area.

This new start-up focuses on providing a simplified ride-sharing system to transit users. The goal is to make it easier and more convenient to book a ride, eliminating the lengthy processes that are usually associated with more complex ride-sharing applications.

Murillo and Arispe believe that their product can help bridge the gap between existing modes of transportation and make traveling more accessible and enjoyable. The idea behind Mile One is that it is designed to keep users in control by giving them access to detailed data on the best fares and schedules, as well as real-time updates on waiting times.

Murillo and Arispe emphasized the way their product fits into the big-picture of transportation, highlighting how it can help reduce emissions and congestion by streamlining the process of booking a ride. They also mentioned the potential for their application to actually generate revenue for municipalities, as the platform can be used to facilitate ticket sales for events, such as concerts, sports games, and festivals.

The presentation was met with much enthusiasm from those in attendance, and the Mile One team is hopeful that their product will help make the daily commute a more pleasant experience. Cesar Gabriel Hernandez and Marcus Holliman just recently competed at Mile One, a regional track meet held in Phoenix, Arizona. Despite it being their first track meet, they both placed in the top three for their respective divisions.

Marcus, a young freshman, competed in the 1600 meter, placing 1st with a personal best of 4 minutes and 18 seconds. Meanwhile, Cesar, a senior, ran the 100-meter placing 3rd overall with a time of 11.6 seconds.

The two sprinters were met with overwhelming applause from the crowd. Despite their age difference, a bond was quickly established.

In an interview after the meet, both athletes revealed that while they are competitors, their respect and admiration for one another had grown exponentially after racing at Mile One. Cesar said he “admires Marcus’ drive and enthusiasm”, while Marcus commented on Cesar’s professionalism and level-headedness.

It appears the two have formed a special bond and we can’t wait to see where their journey takes them.
