If you’re a fan of celebrities or delicious vodka, then you’re in for a treat. Hollywood actor Jason Momoa, known for his role as “Aquaman,” is making a splash in the spirits industry with his very own premium vodka called Meili. Teaming up with co-founder Blaine Halvorson, Momoa has crafted a vodka that is sure to impress even the most discerning palate.
Meili, pronounced “may-lee,” is a vodka that is bottled at 40% alcohol by volume (ABV) and boasts an impressive marketing claim. According to the marketing copy, Meili is “matured in the fresh mountain air.” This unique process gives the vodka a distinctive flavor profile that sets it apart from others on the market.
The name Meili has its roots in old Norse, meaning “beautiful” or “the lovely one.” It’s also worth noting that Meili is the name of the son of the god Odin and brother of Thor in Norse mythology. So not only is Meili a delicious spirit, but it’s also steeped in history and mythology.
Despite Momoa’s celebrity status, Halvorson insists that Meili is not just another “celebrity brand.” In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Halvorson stated, “This has nothing to do with it. (Momoa) just happens to be a celebrity.” This vodka is all about quality and taste, with Momoa’s name lending it an extra touch of star power.
To celebrate the launch of Meili, Momoa and Halvorson will be making appearances at two select stores on September 19th. Fans can catch them at Pavilions in Laguna Beach from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and at Gelson’s in Newport Beach from 2 to 3 p.m. If meeting the actor himself isn’t enough, fans can even get their Meili bottles autographed.
Vodka enthusiasts and fans of Jason Momoa alike will not want to miss out on this opportunity. Head to Pavilions in Laguna Beach or Gelson’s in Newport Beach to get your own taste of Meili vodka. It’s time for vodka to make a comeback in the craft cocktail scene, and Meili is leading the charge. Don’t miss out on this chance to experience the beauty and flavor of Meili vodka.
