Urban South Brewery and the popular Instagram account Look At This Fuckin’ Street have joined forces to create a unique and refreshing beer. Perfect for those sweltering afternoons spent navigating New Orleans’ infamous potholes, Look At This F*ckin’ Wheat is a classic American wheat ale with a twist of citrus zest that promises to quench your thirst and bring a smile to your face.
Look At This Fuckin’ Street, an anonymous Instagram account dedicated to documenting the city’s infrastructure woes, has gained a massive following of over 109,000 users since its launch. The account posts submitted photos and videos of potholes, roadwork delays, and other comical mishaps across the city. It has become a platform for residents to bond over the shared frustrations of New Orleans’ infrastructure and rally for change.
The collaboration between Urban South Brewery and Look At This Fuckin’ Street is not just about creating a delicious beer. It’s also an opportunity to raise awareness about the city’s ongoing infrastructure problems and perhaps even spark some action. “It’s not often that you stumble into the opportunity to make a bunch of people laugh (and maybe make the right people angry) and have a chance at maybe getting something fixed every day,” said Look At This Fuckin’ Street.
The beer, Look At This F*ckin Wheat, is now available at the Urban South taproom on Tchoupitoulas Street. You can enjoy it on draft or take home 16-ounce cans to share with friends. With every sip, you’ll be reminded of the absurdities of New Orleans’ infrastructure, but also the power of community and laughter in addressing these issues.
