Three ingredients – vodka, sparkling water, and natural flavour – will hit the shelves in British Columbia this September as the new ready-to-drink brand, EXACTLY™ Vodka Soda, launches, with plans for a national rollout to follow. Created by Canadian entrepreneurs Paul and Melissa Meehan, who are also the founders of NÜTRL Vodka, EXACTLY redefines what a vodka soda should be: simplicty itself.

The product will be available in four flavours: Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, and Cranberry, presenting a vodka soda with a clear ingredient list and nothing to hide. Each can embodies a minimalist approach and contains only vodka, sparkling water, and natural flavour, resulting in zero carbs, no added sugar, no preservatives, and just 100 calories at 5% ABV. It promises to be a distinct alternative amidst a market saturated with overly sweetened and artificially flavoured drinks.

Paul Meehan expressed his disappointment with existing vodka sodas on the market, noting, "I kept looking for a vodka soda that was just that: vodka, soda and real flavour, nothing else. It didn’t exist. Everything on the shelf had something in it I didn’t want." This frustration fueled the creation of EXACTLY, aimed to appease consumers seeking genuine options without fillers.

The timing of the launch is significant for Canadian consumers, especially as many leading brands in the category are owned by foreign companies. In response, EXACTLY presents itself as a proudly Canadian and locally produced product, emphasizing the importance of supporting local businesses in today’s economy.

Meehan stated, "British Columbia is where the modern vodka soda category was born in Canada, and it’s home for us. Consumers here know the category incredibly well, so it felt like the natural place to introduce EXACTLY first."

EXACTLY Vodka Soda will debut in British Columbia, available in 6-packs of 355mL cans at private retailers throughout the province, before expanding to other markets.
