Title: Unveiling an Enchanting Whiskey and Bourbon Bar at Celtic House on Columbia Pike
Are you a fan of rare whiskeys and bourbons? If so, brace yourself for an exciting announcement from Celtic House on Columbia Pike. This fall, the Celtic House, known for its fantastic food and cozy atmosphere, is all set to unveil its new whiskey and bourbon bar, located beneath the existing restaurant.
In a recent Instagram post, the pub revealed that the centerpiece of the new bar will be a handcrafted, solid red oak bar. Imagine enjoying your favorite spirits in a warm, inviting ambiance, surrounded by the rich aroma of wood. It’s a whiskey lover’s dream come true!
The addition of the whiskey and bourbon bar will not just enhance the Celtic House experience, but also increase the dining space. The new bar will bring an impressive 60 extra seats, adding to the main restaurant’s capacity of 90-100 patrons. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a meal or sip on some unique spirits, you can now do so in a more spacious and comfortable setting.
However, getting this project off the ground hasn’t been without its challenges. Celtic House faced a hurdle when it filed for a permit to renovate its newly leased basement unit in March. The shopping center’s location in a historic district complicated the process. But with determination and perseverance, the permit was finally approved in August, and construction began downstairs that same month.
According to General Manager Chris Devenney, the new bar will seamlessly blend with the existing restaurant. Although a staircase will connect the two units, the downstairs bar will also have a separate entrance. This thoughtful design ensures convenience for patrons and provides a unique experience for those visiting the bar.
Construction is well underway, and Devenney hopes to have the bar open in a few months. However, he wisely avoids giving a definite opening date. As we all know, construction can have its unexpected challenges. But rest assured, the Celtic House team is working tirelessly to create a remarkable space for whiskey enthusiasts and restaurant-goers alike.
The vision for the new bar extends beyond just a place for enjoying fine spirits. Devenney envisions it as a multifunctional space, suitable for hosting various events like birthdays, rehearsal dinners, funeral wakes, and showers. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, the new bar promises to be a perfect venue for both social gatherings and intimate celebrations.
While construction progresses, the main dining area of Celtic House will remain open. The management hopes to provide uninterrupted service to loyal customers throughout the renovation process. So, don’t worry – you can still enjoy your favorite Celtic House dishes while eagerly anticipating the opening of the stunning new whiskey and bourbon bar.
