With October approaching, the Poway Fall Festival is preparing for a day filled with family-friendly activities and entertainment, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 5. The event will take place along Midland Road, between Poway Road and Hilleary Place, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organized by the Poway Chamber of Commerce, the free festival serves as the city’s annual street fair, featuring a variety of food and drink vendors, live musical performances, entertainment, a car show, and a Beer & Wine Garden. It’s also one of the Chamber’s key fundraising events of the year.
The entertainment will be centered at the Community Stage, with a diverse lineup throughout the day:
- 10 a.m.: Nova Luna Gymnastics
- 10:30 a.m.: Barefoot Studios: Students
- 11 a.m.: Poway Library
- 11:30 a.m.: SoCal Dance
- 12 p.m.: Poway Martial Arts
- 12:30 p.m.: Gyminny Kids Circus Demo
- 1 p.m.: Step2Dance
- 1:30 p.m.: Lynch Dance Institution
- 2 p.m.: TBD
- 2:30 p.m.: Fred Astaire Dance Studio
- 3:00 p.m.: Impact Martial Arts
- 3:30 p.m.: 7 Spears Martial Arts
In addition to the stage performances, attendees can look forward to a classic car show featuring a display of old and vintage cars, along with a Kid Zone complete with an inflatable playground.
Food options will range from Poway Chamber members Big Devs Down Home BBQ and Luna’s LUNpias to approximately ten additional food vendors, including novelty options like shave ice and kettle corn.
The Beer & Wine Garden will showcase selections from local wineries, including Barrel Riot, Koi Zen Cellars, and Uvas Winery, while Alesmith Brewing Company will provide beer through The Hop Stop.
Mike Leland, president and CEO of the Poway Chamber of Commerce, encourages the community to attend and explore the variety of offerings at the festival, emphasizing that there will be activities for every age.
Sponsors for this year’s festival include General Atomics Aeronautical as the title sponsor and several others supporting various aspects of the event.
