Raise a Glass: Bad Bunny-Inspired Cocktails to Toast His Record-Breaking San Juan Residency

Post Views: 651

It’s the summer of Bad Bunny, and excitement is building as the chart-topping artist prepares for a sold-out, two-month residency in San Juan starting July 11th. To celebrate this event, Ron del Barrilito, Puerto Rico’s oldest rum producer, has crafted three cocktails inspired by Bad Bunny’s music and culture.

These new drinks aim to embody the spirit of Puerto Rico, with Ron del Barrilito combining its 145 years of rum-making expertise with the themes found in Bad Bunny’s lyrics. The featured drink, "Café Con Ron" Barrilito Espresso Rumtini, blends Ron del Barrilito Three Stars rum with fresh espresso and coffee liqueur, showcasing a Caribbean twist on the classic espresso martini.

In addition to the espresso martini, Ron del Barrilito offers island-inspired versions of the old fashioned and the piña colada, a cocktail dating back to the Caribe Hilton in San Juan. These beverages will be available at various bars throughout San Juan during Bad Bunny’s performances at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, affectionately referred to as "El Choli," including popular locations like Café Con Ron, El Batey, Juana La Loca, and others.

Moreover, cocktail enthusiasts can visit Ron del Barrilito’s historic distillery, Hacienda Santa Ana, just outside of Bayamón, for guided tours and mixology classes. Here, visitors can engage in rum tastings and even learn to create their favorite Bad Bunny cocktails.

For those unable to attend the concerts in person, sharing the recipes for these cocktails allows fans to join the celebration from afar.
